Plum blossoms at Hamarikyu

It's been getting warmer here in the Kanto area, but it might still be too soon to see the gardens in full bloom. I took a trip to the Hama-rikyu teien, a lovely Japanese garden in Shimbashi. 

Still lots of barren branches all around, but several plum trees were blooming beautifully. It was strange to see the towering office buildings in the background.




So much space, so many tranquil ponds...
