NYC Trip Part II

NYC Day 2:

B and I met up with a few NY couchsurfers for brunch at Grape and Grain in East Village, an American wine bar and pizza place. Breakfast pizza (2 sunny-side up eggs on top of pizza), good company, chllly but sunny morning...we started the morning right.
Later in the day, we watched Wicked at the Gershwin Theater. The set design and costumes were gorgeous and amazingly intricate. Everything from the music to the acting was absolutely breathtaking.

After that, we watched a comedy improv at the UCB Theatre (Upright Citizens Brigade). The improv that night was pretty good, but I guess it depends on who performs the night you go watch.

Can't get enough of Time Square...

We were back there at night, taking in the bright city lights and liveliness of NYC.
NY won in the Super Bowl that night, so we witnessed New Yorkers' victory celebration on the streets.
People blocking traffic and cars honking all over town..:)

We stopped by Cafe Bene in Times Square, which was a spacious cafe with a beautiful interior design and plentiful seating. The drinks were delicious, too.
